Welcome you to our Secondary Division!
The Secondary Department of GHS focuses on supporting and developing students to reach their full potential and on preparing them for the challenges of further education or the world of work after their IGCSE and A Level exams.
The academic programme for our Secondary students is guided by the principles and requirements of the National Curriculum for England and is tailored where appropriate to reflect our international student body. This results in a curriculum that is balanced, and encourages excellence in all aspects of students’ moral, cultural, academic, aesthetic and physical development.
Throughout their time in the Secondary School our students are encouraged to participate fully with their teachers to set achievable learning targets and to assess their own work. The culmination of their hard work are the IGCSE examinations at the end of Key Stage 4 and the AS and A Level examinations at the end of Key Stage 5 in their chosen centres.
In addition to our academic programme, we provide a wide range of opportunities to develop new skills and discover new talents. At GHS we are committed to developing well-rounded individuals who are equipped to contribute effectively as global citizens.
